Marshall Event: The Amusing Race for TM officers

Hello peeps:) It's barely the first week of semester and hubby is not back yet :3 so I decided to join as a part time event crew at PWTC for TM Marketing officers in  an effort to realize the goal of team building between its members.

The job we had to handle was on Friday itself from 8 a.m to about 12 p.m.  But there's a briefing for all crews the night before and we had to stay near a hotel. Yay, free accommodation :D

We stayed at Sani Express, a 15 minutes distance walk from PTWC. I was actually expecting a budget hotel like the one I always go with my hubby (budget because of financial reasons :p) but it was not the usual hotels we went to.

Really really nice. It must be about 3 star or 4 star hotel. The beds are so comfy. And the toilet: a rate of four stars.

The toilet is also okayyyy. Then I think we slept for about 4 hours maybe, we had to wake up early in the wee hours to set up the checkpoints for The Amusing Race.

Breakfast is buffet style. Not really good service. Too bad. Really the nasi lemak is soo tak sedap and the drinks are too sweet for my liking.

As for The Amusing Race, the general rules of the game is that the participants have to go through 8 checkpoints with different team building activities before winning the race.

Before the race, they all did the Zumba dance. At that moment, I think if you want to take care of your health, boleh lah I don't care. But then, it just hit me with the fact that all that Malays like is entertainment.

..And what is more shocking is that the Zumba instructor that handled the marketing officers were girls and two of them are wearing hijab. Dancing and shaking their asses and booties for everyone to see. Where is modesty?

Wearing hijab is not just fashion, Hijab is a complete protection from indecent behaviour and preservation of moral behaviour. Hijab is supposed to be an internal and external entity based on islamic principles. Hijab is first an obligation and second maybe, fashion :D

Anyways, since we're the first Checkpoint for the race, it's quite crazy when about 82 people rush to you.. Our activity is Pyramid Stack.

General rules are :

 1) Two participants bring a cup from one end to the other end, using a rope.
 2) Cannot use hands, especially when stacking!
 3) If the cup drops on the way to the stacking area, you have to start all over again.

Sounds tough, huh? Our team had to test out the activity first to make sure it works. It did after a few trial and errors. The trick is you need to be smart.

One Marshall jaga two counters.

Some of the participants are very honest and full of integrity lah, abide by the rules briefed by Marshalls. But other times, dorang asal boleh je laah! Using their hands and all that. And when you tell them a couple of times, they still use their hands. *tsk tsk tsk*

It shows through a simple game how important integrity is. Kalau for this activity pun cannot show integrity, then how about professional work?

Rai said one team cheated and was damn proud of it. Sabahans. Not surprised, I guess?

Our chief Marshall is the guy sitting down. His name is Edy. Then, Rai from ASWARA, pianist wooo. Also Syawwal and Syamimi and Jennifer Chew, unofficial graduate from UKM in TESL. It was nice working with them. Kerja pun tak ada lah banyak sangat. Like you don't do a lot of work but still get a generous pay:) Opss. Yelah duittt tak masuk lagi.
